The Department of Neurosurgery cooperates with highly experienced medical and nursing staff, and accommodates state-of-the-art devices and systems, such as a modern microscope for intraoperative neuromonitoring.
At Metropolitan General, we carry out procedures pertaining to diseases of the brain, pituitary gland, skull base and spine, as well as specialized surgical procedures, such as micro-invasive techniques in the spine and spinal fusion, microsurgical decompression to treat trigeminal neuralgia, and surgical management of epileptic patients.
In combination with the above and the assistance of modern medical equipment (angiography device), the Department provides immediate investigation and treatment -intravascular (embolization) or surgical- of all vascular diseases of the nervous system (aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, etc)
Finally, the Department enjoys significant support from the technologically advanced Department of Medical Imaging to better plan the disease treatment, the well-equipped Intensive Care Unit to treat patients suffering from severe neurological conditions, as well as the specialized Department of Physiotherapy to rehabilitate patients with motor or other neurological disorders.
