The highly specialized team of scientists at the Department of Nephrology investigates the whole spectrum of renal disorders via diagnostic-laboratory tests and closed renal biopsy (fine-needle biopsy) for their immediate management and treatment. It performs pre-grafting renal evaluation for the management of patients who underwent renal transplant, as well as pre-grafting liver evaluation for patients suffering from end-stage liver diseases to confirm their candidacy in being enlisted to receive a liver transplant.
The Department cooperates with physicians from other medical specialties to offer a comprehensive therapeutic approach to all renal diseases.
