The Department of Interventional Neuroradiology at Metropolitan General utilizes the most modern, minimally invasive techniques in the treatment of a series of brain and spinal (Central Nervous System) vascular diseases, which until recently were not treatable or were only treatable with an open surgery procedure (opening in the skull). These methods minimize complications and deliver very good and long-term results.
The Department’s interventional neuroradiologists successfully apply the most advanced intravascular techniques (embolizations) to treat vascular diseases, such as brain aneurysms and vascular malformations.
