Internal Quality Control is diligently executed on a daily basis across all departments, while External Quality Control assessments are conducted at regular intervals, meticulously adhering to internationally recognized and Greek standards. Esteemed entities such as Biorad, the National External Quality Assessment System (ESEAP), the Hellenic Society of Hematology (EAE), and the External Quality Assessment Scheme (EQAS), in conjunction with the esteemed Medical School of Athens-Laboratory of Microbiology, play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality.
BLOOD DONATION
As an integral part of the blood donation centralization program, Metropolitan General Blood Donation collaborates seamlessly with the National Blood Donation Center (EKEA) to ensure a reliable and secure blood supply for patients, even in situations demanding urgent transfusions.
The primary objective of the esteemed Blood Donation Department is to guarantee an ample and safe blood reserve for patients in need, even in the face of emergencies.
