Metropolitan General’s 1st Orthopedic Clinic has carried out a large number of arthroscopies, mainly knee, shoulder and ankle arthroscopies, with excellent results. Also, the Clinic has conducted a large number of hip and knee arthroplasties, the majority of which are performed bloodlessly, require short hospital stay (5-7 days), and deploy established and safe patient techniques.
The 1st Orthopedic Clinic successfully manages all orthopedic trauma cases, and especially large and small fractures, using modern methods (intramedullary nailing). In addition, a lot of other orthopedic procedures are also carried out, such as hallux valgus (bunions), carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren syndrome, etc.
Finally, the Orthopedic Surgeons of the Clinic are highly specialized in managing difficult cases (mostly long bone fracture pseudoarthrosis, such as in the hip and tibia) with a pioneering method which is based on the use of autologous bone marrow. In particular, during the surgery, bone marrow is aspired with special needles, which, following appropriate process is then injected into the fracture site and contributes in bone porosis.
