The Clinic provides services in the entire Orthopedics Surgery spectrum, specializing in shoulder surgery.
After a proper diagnosis, shoulder injuries require specialized treatment, conservative or surgical. In our clinic we have many years of experience in all surgical techniques of the shoulder so that we can adapt individualized treatment according to the problems of each patient.
These techniques include:
- Shoulder arthroscopy: a technique in which a high-resolution camera enters the joint through small holes, allowing the physician to determine the pathology and treat the majority of shoulder conditions. In our clinic we perform shoulder arthroscopy for:
- Treatment of subacromial friction
- Treatment of calcifying tendinitis
- Suturing of tendon ruptures
- Suturing of marginal cartilage ruptures
- Treatment of shoulder dislocation and instability
However, more advanced arthroscopic surgical techniques are also performed, such as arthroscopic bone block and arthroscopic Latarjet, techniques which require specialization and experience. It is no coincidence that the Director of the clinic has been an instructor of shoulder surgery techniques for many years in Greece and abroad.
- Shoulder arthroplasty: (anatomical - semi-arthroplasty - reverse arthroplasty) that replaces the joint in unrepairable damage (comminuted fractures - arthritis) restoring lost functionality of the shoulder.
In addition to the shoulder, the clinic deals with the whole range of sports injuries by performing arthroscopy on all major joints.
Thus, the following are provided:
- Knee arthroscopy for treatment of the following
- Meniscus tears
- Rupture of cruciate ligaments
- Cartilage lesions
- Patella instability
- Hymenitis
- Shoulder arthroscopy for treatment of the following
- Epicondylitis
- Cartilage lesions
- Free bodies
- Hip arthroscopy for treatment of the following
- Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI)
- Marginal cartilage ruptures
- Free bodies
- Ankle arthroscopy for treatment of the following
- Ankle instability and ligamentous lesions
- Rear impact syndrome
- Cartilage lesions
- Achilles tendon tendinitis
In addition to arthroscopic surgery, the clinic treats hip and knee arthritis with total arthroplasty. Hip and knee arthroplasties are performed with minimally invasive techniques (M.I.S. techniques), rapid mobilization and short hospitalization, taking advantage of all the benefits of technological advances with the use of personalized guides, robotic systems or other navigation systems in order to restore the patient's functionality and ensure longevity of the prosthesis.
Finally, trauma and the treatment of fractures cannot be missing from the scope of knowledge of every experienced Orthopedic Surgeon. Fractures are treated with M.I.S. techniques using all the appropriate osteosynthesis materials (plates, nails, external osteosynthesis systems) in order to achieve the best anatomical restoration of the damage and the fastest return to daily life.
