Dr. Segkos graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School. He subsequently relocated to the United States, where he completed his specialty training at the University of Massachusetts and The Ohio State University. He is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
In addition, he holds the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU), which certifies his expertise in neck ultrasonography and ultrasound-guided neck procedures. He has a special clinical interest in thyroid disorders, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer, and is committed to helping patients with benign symptomatic thyroid nodules avoid surgery by offering and performing Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) of thyroid nodules.
Dr. Segkos lived and worked for several years in the State of Utah, USA, where he founded the Utah Thyroid Center. He and his family have decided to relocate to Greece and are excited to be able to offer their services to the local community.
