Metropolitan General features a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU), equipped with advanced-technology medical equipment and monitoring systems for patient treatment and care. The ICU implements the most specialized therapeutic approaches in accordance with international scientific protocols, aiming to achieve the best possible outcomes for hospitalized patients.
The 10-bed Intensive Care Unit accommodates patients in specially designed transparent and well-lit rooms that allow continuous visual contact and monitoring by the medical staff, while maintaining patient privacy and simultaneously providing protection against infections. The purpose of the ICU is to provide the highest possible level of continuous monitoring, optimal care, and the most appropriate treatment for patients suffering from any condition requiring intensive monitoring and timely intervention.
Medical Staff
The Intensive Care Unit is staffed by experienced healthcare professionals, including specialized intensivists, specially trained nursing personnel, and physicians from all medical specialties, depending on each patient’s individual needs. Medical services are provided on a 24-hour basis, with strict adherence to infection control programs and scientific protocols, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care at all times.
Collaboration with Other Departments
The ICU operates with continuous 24-hour support from the other departments of Metropolitan General, including the Microbiology Laboratory, Radiology Department, Ultrasound Department, Hemodynamics Laboratory, CT Scanner, and MRI Department, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring and management of patients hospitalized in or urgently admitted to the ICU.
