Upon your admission, you will be asked to make an advance payment, the amount of which is determined according to your hospitalization. Throughout your stay in the clinic, you will be informed about the status of your account and you will be asked periodically to pay an amount towards the total, depending on the amount of your bill at that time.
Your bill will be settled at the same time you are discharged. The Patient Accounting Department will inform you of the amount due so you can pay your bill and complete the discharge process.
For your convenience, you may settle your bill in cash, by current-dated cheques, by credit card, or in interest-free instalments (Mastercard, Visa, Ethnocard or Eurocard).
Insurance Funds
Metropolitan General has concluded an agreement with the National Organization for Health Care Services (EOPYY)
What Is Required
Inpatients: For your admission with EOPYY, you must have your identity card, your Social Security Number (AMKA) and your Tax Identification Number (AFM) with you. The insurance fund covers part of the cost, while the remaining amount is covered by the insured person as a contribution.
Outpatients: At Metropolitan General, you can undergo various laboratory or imaging examinations at reduced prices, provided that you are insured with National Organization for Health Care Services (EOPYY). You must have your Social Security Number (AMKA), identity card and the electronically prescribed examinations with you.
Insurance Companies
Metropolitan General cooperates with all Greek and the largest international private insurance companies, providing high-quality healthcare services to insured patients. This cooperation covers the management of cases requiring hospitalization that are covered by an individual or group insurance policy, as well as the provision of healthcare benefits for outpatient and emergency cases.
Procedure for Insurance Companies
We recommend that you first visit the Patient Admissions Office to complete your admission. Once you have been informed of your admission room, please proceed to your insurance company’s office to provide your medical history, your insurance policy number, as well as any additional information you may be asked to provide.
For your better service, you should have your identity card and the insurance policy number with you. It would also be useful to know the name of your insurance company, as well as whether your policy is individual or group.
