You will need to stop taking the following medication before the examination:
T4 3 to 4 weeks
T3 2 weeks
Antithyroid medication 1 week
You should not have undergone a CT scan with intravenous contrast during the previous 2 weeks. In general, you should not have used any iodine-containing preparations.
Procedure:
The examination will be performed 10 minutes after the radiopharmaceutical is administered.
