Interventional radiology refers to diagnostic and therapeutic techniques using minimally invasive instruments under imaging guidance: (fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, digital angiography, computed tomography), so that diagnosis and treatment can be performed with precision.
This means minimally invasive techniques, fewer complications, a shorter stay in the healthcare facility, lower cost and a better experience for the patient.
The Department of Interventional Radiology at Metropolitan General Clinic is fully organized, with state-of-the-art imaging equipment and a specialized team of physicians and nurses, and is one of the most advanced departments in Europe. An experienced anesthesiologist is always present in our department, and the majority of procedures are performed under sedation, ensuring a better experience for patients.
