The Clinic covers the full spectrum of Orthopedic Surgery, with a primary clinical focus on Shoulder Surgery.
Following a precise diagnosis, shoulder conditions require specialized treatment, whether conservative or surgical. Our Clinic possesses extensive experience in all surgical shoulder techniques, allowing us to provide personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
Techniques & Procedures
Shoulder Arthroscopy: A minimally invasive technique where a high-definition camera enters the joint through small portals to diagnose and treat the majority of shoulder pathologies. In our Clinic, shoulder arthroscopy is performed for:
- Subacromial Impingement Syndrome
- Calcific Tendonitis
- Rotator Cuff Tear Repair
- Labral Tear Repair
- Shoulder Dislocation and Instability
For complex and recurrent lesions, we perform advanced arthroscopic techniques such as the Arthroscopic Bone Block and Arthroscopic Latarjet procedure, which require high-level specialization and experience. Notably, the Clinic Director has served for years as an instructor in shoulder surgical techniques both in Greece and internationally.
- Shoulder Arthroplasty: Anatomical, Hemiarthroplasty, and Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty procedures are performed to replace the joint in cases of irreparable damage (comminuted fractures or arthritis), restoring lost functionality.
Beyond the shoulder, the Clinic covers the entire spectrum of sports injuries, performing arthroscopic procedures in all major joints. The following are performed:
Knee arthroscopy for the management of:
- meniscal tears
- cruciate ligament tears
- cartilage lesions
- patellar instability
- synovitis
Elbow arthroscopy for the management of:
- epicondylitis
- cartilage lesions
- loose bodies
Hip arthroscopy for the management of:
- femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)
- labral tears
- loose bodies
Ankle arthroscopy for the management of:
- ankle instability and ligament injuries
- posterior impingement syndrome
- cartilage lesions
- Achilles tendinitis
Total Arthroplasty
In addition to arthroscopic surgery, the Clinic also treats hip and knee osteoarthritis with total arthroplasty. Hip and knee arthroplasties are performed using minimally invasive (M.I.S.) techniques, allowing for rapid mobilization and short hospital stay, utilizing the latest technological advances, including patient-specific instruments, robotic systems, or other navigation systems, with the aim of restoring patient functionality and ensuring the longevity of the implant.
Finally, trauma management and the treatment of fractures are an integral part of every experienced Orthopedic Surgeon’s practice. Fractures are treated using M.I.S. techniques and all appropriate osteosynthesis materials (plates, nails, external fixation devices), aiming at optimal anatomical restoration of the injury and faster return to daily activities.
