Our primary goal is to provide high-quality medical services, utilizing the modern high-definition equipment of the endoscopy unit at Metropolitan General, with endoscopic procedures performed painlessly and in a safe environment in the presence of an anesthesiologist.
The following procedures are performed:
- Diagnostic endoscopy of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract (gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy)
- Polypectomy of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract
- Surveillance of premalignant gastric lesions (intestinal metaplasia, atrophy)
- Surveillance of Barrett’s esophagus
- Placement of percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
- Management of upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding
- Esophageal variceal band ligation
- Management of gastrointestinal strictures with dilation or stent placement
- Small bowel capsule endoscopy (PillCam)
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) with tissue sampling capability (FNA, FNB)
24-hour coverage is provided in the hospital’s Emergency Department, ensuring immediate care for patients requiring urgent medical and nursing attention and hospitalization.
At the same time, scheduled treatments are administered in the hospital’s One Day Clinic, with minimal inconvenience to patients.

The clinic is housed in a modern facility opposite the main hospital entrance, where the following clinics operate:
- Functional gastrointestinal disorders unit
- Celiac disease unit
- Hepatology unit, including viral hepatitis
- Inflammatory bowel disease unit (IBD, Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)
- Unit for the management of gastrointestinal disorders during pregnancy
