The establishment of the 2nd Gastroenterology Clinic was driven by our vision to provide comprehensive, personalized, modern, and patient-centered care for the full spectrum of gastrointestinal diseases, including both their diagnosis and treatment.
Within this framework, all endoscopic procedures are performed in our clinic in the presence of an anesthesiologist, under sedation, including upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, endoscopic polypectomy, diagnostic and interventional endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), diagnostic and interventional endoscopic ultrasound (EUS FNA–FNB) of the upper gastrointestinal tract and rectum, endoscopic management of Barrett’s esophagus, and placement of a feeding gastrostomy (PEG).
At the same time, esophageal functional disorders are evaluated using manometry and 24-hour ambulatory pH monitoring.
Using the above methods, along with extensive clinical experience, we achieve accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of symptoms and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, such as acute and chronic abdominal pain, anemia, blood loss during bowel movements, inflammatory conditions of the intestine and abdominal cavity, jaundice, dyspepsia, and heartburn, as well as diseases of the liver, biliary tract, and pancreas.
In this effort, we are supported, whenever required, by the collaborating Internal Medicine and Surgical Departments, as well as the specialized imaging department of our hospital.
