Endourology – Urolithiasis
Endourology constitutes a key area of activity of the Clinic, which covers the entire spectrum of modern endoscopic surgery of the urinary tract.
Particular emphasis is placed on the minimally invasive treatment of kidney and ureteral stones. Depending on the location, size and characteristics of the stones, modern techniques of semi-rigid and/or flexible ureteroscopy are applied, using laser technology for stone fragmentation.
At the same time, endoscopic diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of diseases of the urethra, urinary bladder, ureter and upper urinary tract are performed.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia
For the surgical treatment of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, a wide range of modern endoscopic and minimally invasive techniques is applied.
The available therapeutic options include bipolar transurethral resection of the prostate (TURis), transurethral incision of the prostate (TUIP), Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), as well as minimally invasive water vapor therapy (Rezūm).
The selection of the appropriate technique is individualized based on the size and anatomy of the prostate, the severity of symptoms and the patient’s comorbidities, always with absolute respect for the patient’s specific needs and wishes.
Robotic Urologic Surgery
Robot-assisted surgery constitutes a particular area of activity of the Clinic, with its main application being the treatment of urologic malignancies.
Robotic technology offers three-dimensional visualization of the surgical field and high precision of surgical movements, enabling the performance of demanding procedures through a minimally invasive approach.
Within this framework, robot-assisted procedures are performed, in appropriately selected patients, for the treatment of prostate cancer and kidney tumors.
Diagnosis of Prostate Cancer – Transperineal Biopsy
Particular emphasis is placed on the modern and accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer. The Clinic specializes in performing transperineal fusion prostate biopsy, in which targeted sampling of prostate tissue cores is carried out using a technique that fuses multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound images (MRI/US Fusion Biopsy). This technique allows systematic sampling of the prostate and accurate targeting of suspicious areas identified on magnetic resonance imaging, contributing to the comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of the patient. In selected patients, conventional transrectal biopsy may also be performed, with the collection of targeted and randomized prostate tissue cores.
Andrology – Male Infertility – Erectile Dysfunction
The Clinic provides comprehensive evaluation and management of male infertility, with an individualized approach depending on the etiology and the specific characteristics of each patient.
As part of the surgical management of male infertility, procedures for the retrieval of spermatozoa from the testis (Testicular Sperm Extraction – TESE) are performed in appropriately selected cases and within the context of the overall management of the infertile couple.
At the same time, diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic management of erectile dysfunction and other conditions affecting male sexual health are provided.
