  Between 2013 and 2016 I have worked as a scientific consultant at the 1st University Ophthalmology Clinic, G. Gennimatas Hospital, with directors Mr. Lada and Mrs. Koutsandrea. I examined many ophthalmologic patients in the retina department and the emergency department and applied a multitude of treatments.

  Between 2016 and 2023 I have been Head of the Retina department at the 1st University Clinic, G. Gennimatas Hospital, as a University scholar, with directors Mrs. Koutsandrea and Mr. Papakonstantinou. The department is staffed with three National Health System Supervising Physicians and four intern doctors. We check for the entire spectrum of retina conditions (vascular conditions, age related macular degeneration, hereditary conditions, inflammations, oncology) and provide diagnostic access with the latest available engineering equipment and a multitude of treatment interventions (intravitreal infusions, laser, Photodynamic therapy etc.). Over 150 patients per week are examined and treated in the department (examinations and treatment).
  Since September 1st, 2022 I have been the head of the Rare Conditions Department.
